Kara Robinson was just 15 years old when she was abducted by Richard Evonitz, a serial killer responsible for the murders of three girls. Evonitz kidnapped Kara at gunpoint from her friend’s yard, forcing her into a storage bin in his car and driving her to his apartment.

During her captivity, Kara remained calm and observant, memorizing details about her surroundings and her abductor. Her keen awareness played a crucial role in her escape and the subsequent capture of Evonitz. After 18 hours of captivity, she managed to free herself from restraints, escape the apartment, and seek help from nearby residents who called the police.
