The “Ripper Crew,” also known as the “Chicago Rippers,” was a notorious gang of four men who abducted, mutilated, and murdered numerous women in the Chicago area during the early 1980s. Their heinous acts left the city in fear and shock as the details of their gruesome crimes emerged.
The Perpetrators
Robin Gecht: The ringleader, Gecht, was a construction worker and former employee of serial killer John Wayne Gacy. He had a significant influence over the other members of the group and orchestrated the brutal acts.
Edward Spreitzer: Another member of the crew, Spreitzer was heavily involved in the abductions and murders. His involvement would later be crucial in the group’s downfall.
Andrew and Thomas Kokoraleis: The Kokoraleis brothers participated in the killings and mutilations. Both were deeply involved in the group’s sadistic rituals.
